Instinctual Awakening is the inaugural piece in my Inner Journey series, delving into the profound realms of self-discovery and our intrinsic bond with the natural world. The composition centres on a poignant exchange between a woman and a wolf, their gazes locked in mutual recognition. The wolf, often seen as a symbol of survival, mystery, and passion, embodies the deep-seated instincts and wisdom that nature imparts. This interaction signifies a moment of awakening, where the woman reconnects with her innate instincts, guided by the wolf's ancient knowledge.

Set against the serene backdrop of a winter forest, the snow-laden ground and the gentle infusion of golden light through the trees create a harmonious blend of tranquility and warmth. This setting mirrors the delicate balance between introspection and action inherent in the journey of self-discovery. This painting emerged from an intuitive vision, with the wolf and woman appearing fully formed in my imagination. The background evolved naturally, revealing itself as the story unfolded on the canvas.
